About the Computer Center
The Pitt-Titusville Computer Center is located in BSC G05 of Broadhurst Science Center. The Computer Center staff provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff. Our help desk can provide answers to many questions regarding email, software, and student services.
Computer Center Lab Hours
Broadhurst Science Center - Public Computing Lab (BSC G05)
- Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM
- Saturday – Sunday Closed
Suggested Computer Configurations
- Intel Core i5 processor
- Made by a major manufacturer is recommended, for example Dell, HP, or Lenovo
- Should have a warranty (at least 1 year - recommend 3 year)
- 3 years Accidental damage warranty for notebook or tablet computers
- 500 GB or larger hard disk drive
- 8 GB RAM
- Windows 10
- Wireless network adapter 802.11 b/g/n - (laptop/tablet)
Campus Wireless
Students, faculty, and staff can access Wireless PittNet in all buildings and outside areas on campus. Students, faculty, and staff that wish to connect to Wireless PittNet will need to know their University user name and password. If you have trouble connecting to Wireless PittNet, please contact the Pitt-Titusville Help Desk at (814) 827-4419 or visit the computer center in Broadhurst Science Center Room 108.
Software
Software is available through My Pitt in the Software Download section. Some of the available software includes:
